New safe owner, anti-picking student

I got a GSA cabinet at an auction. It came with X-09 KABA MAS lock so I followed a post here about dremel tool to remove the lock-on-back-cover pin. The lock did not follow its owner manual -- went to lightning bolt often, but may be just needing lots of time twirling the knob to let it time out after 16 wrong attempts it displays. I got the lock off without destroying it, so now the serial number (master combo) is available...
