New to Keypicking

Just want to say Hi to everyone and look for some info on picking American 1100 series padlocks. Can't seem to get a feel for American locks or the Master lock 6121 or 930. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. It's the security pins I suppose. I'm using quality picks .015 Petersons. Need advice on a good tensioning tool for these locks.
Thanks

Re: New to Keypicking

Use TOK tension. American locks, and Masters, like TOL tension.

Re: New to Keypicking

The 15 thousandths might be bending if you are using much force.

I found, for me that the offset diamond :offestdiamond: in .018 works wonders (except for the one I just chopped up) with a .050 prybar :prybar: A .025 will barely slide in but can work. Have sen where some guys like the .018 standard hook. (#1) I beleive.

The masters try a Sparrows tron, or Attilla, If not the offset diamond if it will fit. And whatever :prybar: fits in it .
Would definitely try attacking these before the Americans.

Have you ran through easier master locks like the 3,5,1, wilson Bohanon, master 17, master 140, & 150, abus 55-40
If not perhaps try those before jumping straight into serrated pin locks. You did say you are new to picking.

Thanks for the info. I will give this a try and let you know how it goes.
Of the locks you asked if I had opened, I have opened all but the Bohanon and the master 17. I did manage to open the 570 Master twice along with an American with a Master core in brass.

Watched the video.

Going to make a few of these. Looks like they might work better than what I am using.
Thanks

Welcome to a wonderful place!!

On American Locks; You could read through THIS. Of course, it's now riddled with blank pictures
from fuckitbucket... but still plenty of words that might give ya some ideas on the feel of 'em.
