Rocky mountain hello!

Hey everyone!
So excited to check this forum out. I am very new to this whole thing. A friend of mine recently gave me my first pick set. A 20 piece southord set and a couple old pad locks. Well let's just say when I learn something new I go hard. So 2 weeks in and I have been atempting to pick everything in site and have been through 2 dremels a cheap angle grinder and will be purchasing a bench grinder later today. I have made a couple good hooks and tension wrenches. My attempts at making bump keys has been nothing short of pitiful haha. So anyway I just wanted to say hello. I'm off to soak some info up.

Welcome,
Sounds like you're off to a great start, 20 piece Southord set and locks. You've got a good friend!

Welcome from a bit further south, Sands. I'm in Arizona.

Re: Rocky mountain hello!

Welcome.

Seems like the bug has bitten.

BTW don't worry too much about bump keys. They only seem to open locks that are really easy to pick. By all means check them out but don't waste too much time on them.

The real fun happens with picks and tension tools.

You will find a ton of info and advice on this site.

And don't be shy asking questions. Lots of helpful and polite people here.

Again Welcome.
