Hi from Oz!

Hi All,

Greetings from Australia!

I was a police officer for 12 years and during my time as a detective I developed an interest in Methods of Entry.

When it was time for a change of career, I packed myself off to Lockmasters in Kentucky and studied Professional Locksmithing and GSA Safe & Vault Technician/Inspector.

Upon return to Australia I started my own business as a locksmith/security consultant and kept working on my security education. After joining the Locksmiths Guild, further opportunities opened up and I was fortunate to receive mentoring from a number of experienced locksmiths and safe technicians, allowing me to be awarded a Cert3 in Mechanical Engineering (Locksmithing), this being a formal locksmithing qualification in Australia.

The call of a regular salary, good cash flow and other benefits eventually called again, so
I'm presently employed as an advisor within the Australian Government utilizing skills learned as a locksmith and in my previous career. My business is now relegated to a hobby affair, which is great because now I can afford to work on projects I like and on my own timeline.

Whilst I do pick locks and do safe work, my real passion in researching bypass (both mechanical and electronic). My long term project is compiling a compendium of bypass techniques for professionals. My thinking is always, "If you can't go through it, find a way around it!"

Hope to both learn and share here. Now if I can just find the time away from work........
