Re: Members Say Hi

Hi Guys & Girls,
I'm Reed I'm 27 and From London UK. inspired buy books and stories. also with the revelation that locks couldn't stop me from getting into a nice warm technology block, during the snowy winter months at school. ive been picking locks for roughly 14 years on and off.
I decided to up my game recently and bought myself a set of picks and a few practice locks.
Ive been steadily working my way from standard 4 pin locks, up to 5 pin security pinned locks. its going well so far and I'm enjoying myself which I was always told is 'the main thing'.
This community seems helpful and encouraging so id like to get involved.

Re: Members Say Hi

Hi, Im Ratlock from scotland. I am most regularly found on the uklocksports forum, and like to see what the world of locksports/ locksmithing is like throughout the world. So far I have seen, met and conversed with loads of great and talented people from around the world. I have also learned a huge amount from these people, and as ever surprised by the innovations and ideas we all have in common, to moving a simple bolt, or cam, clockwise, or anti clockwise.

Hi all from the Rat. PS Ive just noticed 2 of the graphic add ons , one says who gives a fuck, and one says wanker.

I would feel left out If I didnt get at least one of each in reply.

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum, not new to picking. I am on a couple of other forums as well. I really enjoy picking, but I also enjoy making picks. Making picks has become as much of a hobby for my as picking.

Re: Members Say Hi

Hi to everyone...

I've been a key fetishist since I was a toddler (flushed both keys to my parent's new 1978 toyota corolla hatchback down the toilet when I was 3 or 4 years old because I didn't want a new car)... got a taste of locksmithing when I was a little older and my parents rented a triplex, and have dabbled in and out since then. Haven't been actively picking for sometime but want to get back into it again.

Music, basketball, computers, technology in general are all interests and hobbies, and my job and passion is rail-borne equipment.

Looking forward to the interesting discussions here.

Re: Members Say Hi

Hi, Brent from Canada here. I'm new to picking. Just got myself a sparrows set couple days ago. I have been reading and you tubing since then to learn as much as I can. I always thought lock picking was awesome and wanted to learn, I now realize tv/movies make it look way easier than it is.

What type and brand of lock should I learn and practice on?
