Re: Paracord Mini-Billy

I just used a golfball and rope (and burnt ends as suggested)

I took awhile to get it right- the rope would twist and make the knot tying next-near impossible.
I started and untied and re-tied several times before getting it... Just like picking, it was practice, practice, practice. And then some thinking and practice some more...

Just to be safe - squirt a few drops of super glue on the ends of the sinnet knot so it doesn't come loose and unravel.

Re: Paracord Mini-Billy

yeah, make sure the knots hold up, it would really piss you off if you went to swing at a guy and the ball came flying out an knocked a window out of YOUR car or house!
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.

BTW - If any of you guys are "knotheads", I posted a few pictures of turkshead knots that I've made and put on my knot stick. They are in the photo gallery section at the top of the page.

Hey, Tooly - Let's see some of your stuff... ;)

Re: Paracord Mini-Billy

The turks head is one I still haven't gotten down. Your's look awesome Hallis! I did alot of cobra stitches, caterpillar sinnets, square, round sinnets... but I gave most of it away or it is currently attached to a something at the apt.

I keep making mostly the monkey fist with a noose because it uses alot less chord than a sinnet or cobra stitch. This is probably my best fist, it's a big smasher marble!

This one is the biggest, it's a golf ball.

Gotta get my ass practicing that turk...

It's easy if you have one of these: http://knottool.com/th_kit.html

I have the flat turk's head kit and also bought some of the tubes.

If you have a drill press and screws, you're halfway there. Ck this guys page: http://www.taylortel.net/~stwood/mandtools.html

But... that's cheating! I think I'll look closer at that homemade setup. Thanks Hallis.
