Seriously, great pictures. Do that 1 set of keys work all 4 cores?

Beautiful pictures. Very clear.

Nice locks, I hope you got a great deal. They are Medeco Classic tho, not Biaxial.

snip >> "Biaxial and Original bottom pins are not interchangeable. They are identified by the position of the flag that limits rotation. The flag is 90° from the true gate in the Original and 180° in the Biaxial. "

Agreed, it does appear to be a Classic, however, the sidebar in a classic usually has the springs between legs 2&3 and legs 4&5 whereas the sidebar in the Biaxials have the springs between legs 1&2 and legs 5&6 like the one in the pics. I find this interesting because just this past week I picked and gutted the core that came in my S&G 831-B (this was the first time I have gutted this core as I haven't picked it since I first opened my lock) and not only did it have a sidebar like the ones that are usually found in the biaxials, but the flags on the key pins are 180 degrees from the sidebar gates.... Could this mean that my S&G core is biaxial? I thought all the S&G 831 cores were Classic.

Many thanks guys :D

They were not too expensiv , i bought the 2 locks + the 2 cores for 130 € (191,31 USD).

Each core is keyed different, they all have 1 operating key + 1 control key

And thanks to barbarian & jruther2 for correcting me (changed the title of the post) (woohoo)

Look at the tips of the pins as in the photo above. If the chisel point is in the center then it's Classic. On the Biaxial the point is noticeably off to the side.

Great article here. http://www.scribd.com/doc/179233/Makeup ... axial-Lock
