Hi,

I looked for a vidéo where someone picked a Abus X Plus on youtube, I didn't find.
I looked for on some forums on internet, I didn't find.
I would like you ask four questions.

If someone picked a Abus X Plus, why didn't he do a vidéo ?
Why did he tell nothing ?

Do you know someone, who picked a Abus X Plus ?
If yes, could you tell me his nickname ?

Thanks very much to take the time for to answer to my four questions :D :D :D . For me it's very important ?

See you soon.

Mate that is a nice pick you have, i have seen some commercial ones on the market that cost a tidy sum, so you have done well to acquire such a nice tool.

Great picking as mate.

Re: Locks who they use discs : Abus Plus Granit etc

Hi,

I picked 2 padlocks Abus Plus 88/50. When a member of french forum, He asked to me : how many time for pick 1 padlock. For answer him, I bought 10 new padlocks. I didn't pick yet and I didn't watch their keys. I used a numeric clock with hours and minutes, but without seconds. Because I don't want to do a compétition, because the competition doesn't want tell a lot of things, because one day is a good day for me and second day is a bad day for me. So the secondes is ridiculeus for my work, minutes is good.
I divided the 10 new padlocks in two equal paquets: 5 and 5.

The five first, I used : Jaakko's pick with my tactile sensations.
The five of the end, I used : jaakko's pick with my tactile sensations and the vernier.

Here my time for pick, the five first :

1er cadenas 6mn
2ème cadenas 8mn
3ème cadenas 6mn
4ème cadenas 5mn
5ème cadenas 9mn

Here my time for pick, the five of the end :

6ème cadenas 2mn
7ème cadenas 2mn
8ème cadenas 2mn
9ème cadenas 6mn
10ème cadenas 2mn

Here the 10 + 2 padlocks Abus Plus 88/50 picked view in front :

Re: Locks who they use discs : Abus Plus Granit etc

There are three different types of design I know of.
Some can be tensioned on the first disc (I think Jaakos tool is for those).
Then there is a version where the last disc has to be tensioned.
For those are also tools available I think.
If not they shouldn't be to hard to build.
The never version however have to be tensioned somewhere in between.
That makes it hard.
You don't know what disc you can use for tensioning and you would need a tool that allows you to manipulate the disc above and below.
So far I haven heard that one of those has been picked but I am pretty sure the day will come.
