Suggested Keypicking Video Standards

With the increasing popularity of locksport, keypicking.com could support universal video standards that make it simpler for everyone to learn and share their techniques and conquests. After watching 100's of video's, I've drawn up a list of simple suggestions. Please post you feelings. Thanks to everyone who has posted the MANY videos and continue to do so.
That Sparrows rep. has been a big influence on my suggestions....

Suggested Keypicking Video Standards

1-The lock being picked stays inside the picture frame.
2-The keypicker displays the key biting, if available.
3-The keypicker shows the pick, tension wrench and lubricant (if used)
4-The keypicker demonstrates the key working in the lock. (Opening and closing)
5-The audio is seamless, usually done with background T.V. or music (deters editing)
6-The keypicker provides some information about the history of the lock being picked such as acquisition, make, or model.
7-The keypicker ‘guts’ and displays pins and springs (if possible)

Re: Suggested Keypicking Video Standards

Agreed totally........exept no.7 sometimes its not possible to get it all done within the 10 minutes allowed on youtube.

Especially for a newbie like myself :???: :???: :???:

But yeah its good to give a good show in the vids ....personally speaking that is how i got into lockpicking, by watching vids on youtube and the resources found there for this hobby is unreal.

Even though i will say that its not as cheap a hobby as i thought ....always something nice gets seen and out comes the wallet

I've seen a lot of videos which are longer than 10 minutes.

The lighting is also very important in my opinion and you should make sure that what you film is on focus.

Everytime i upload a video it limits me to 10 minutes in length...
Naaapaalm...sticks to kids...it sticks to the belly and it sticks to the ribs...
See those kids standing by the lake...drop some napalm and watch them bake.

Re: Suggested Keypicking Video Standards

Well YouTube says what 3gb? My videos rarely
go over 150mb or so since I'm using a digital camera video function...not the greatest quality.
I'm just going off of what YouTube tells me when I go to upload vids. 10mins or10:59 like you said wiz, and 3gb in size. I may be wrong..wouldn't be the first time.
