Re: Freaky Farmer videos

What is that tool you're using to pick these? Is that a square flag or a short hook?

The code is hidden in the tumblers. One position opens the lock, another position opens one of these doors...

Re: Freaky Farmer videos

Kokomo sent me this Evva 3ks. It's the first one I've ever successfully picked and I picked it out of the box. Be warned, this is a long boring video. I set the last slider at 15:54, but my tension wrench was preventing it from turning. It finally turned at 21:30 while I was playing with the tension wrench location. I spent 5 minutes trying to find an incorrectly set slider...

Thanks for the lock Kokomo.

Jruther2's pick came today!

It's an incredible pick and I am left with no reasonable choice other than to make room in my pick case for it. Thank you Jruther2 for the awesome pick. :D :D :D

Re: Freaky Farmer videos

I failed to pick the MOGUL out of the box. And here is the video to prove it! At 5 minutes in I cut out 10 minutes of pointless video. Also I got my pick stuck in it and had to get it back out. :-x

What an honor, thanks for that! I hope the pick serves you well. I was worried that I may have made the hook a little long. After watching your video, I think the test for my hooks from now on will be to check and see if it can set an Everest check pin. Are you gonna file it down any?

Nope. I really like it as it is. In a way it's like the Peterson gem, which can't get at the check pin either.

 More fun with the exercise ball!

I know that you can't tell which pick I used in the video very well. So here are a few pictures of the pick I used, for both the regular and finger pins!

Re: Freaky Farmer videos

A while ago I was trying out different ways to make the key pins always springy. And someone, I can't remember who, suggested that I put a spring in between the key pin and a master pin. At the time I disregarded the idea because it seemed to be a big problem if the pin was lifted too high and the spring crossed the shear line. Since then I implemented the idea anyways, using T drives for the solid stop to prevent the overlifting, and in the process gave up the shallowest depths to make it work (an uncut key won't enter the lock now). Whoever it was that suggested the idea, thank you.
