Yep, the music isn't for everybody thats for sure! I fluctuate tension based on what my fingers feel in the pins, if they feel like they are not wanting to move I do this, and for spools, I sort of coax them in this way, not really effective method all the time, mostly just a habit!

Man, look at the size of that friggin thing! I knew kwiksets had big keyways but I never got a decent look at one before... all I can say is DAMN. Good job getting that brinks open too, glad you finally got it!

Yes! They are big keyways, you have ample room for tools in there for sure, that also helps when picking them.

Yeah, no doubt... I've got a practice lock with an SC1 keyway and that thing has loads of room compared to anything we use over here; the kwiksets look even bigger than that! I can't even imagine a keyway that size.

The SC1 has about the same size keyway, but has alot tighter tolerances, they are the step up in quality from Kwikset when you look to install residential.

In that case, I seriously hope the tolerances are higher than the one I have! It doesn't have any particular binding order, and the bitting is 19191 which should, in theory, be the most difficult. If I had that kind of bitting in even a crappy euro cylinder I'd be bashing my head off the wall for a good while.

I don't have any experience in Euro cylinders but from what I have saw, they are better than our Kwiksets and Schlages.

Congrats on the disc Kid! There are alot of lock companies that have a keyway so similar to the KW1 you would call it the same.
