New Subforum?

Don't mind AT ALL if this doesn't come to pass... just throwing it out there.
But I wonder if there could, or maybe should be a subforum under 'Lock Picking' for American Locks?

As newbies, many of us are guided to Americans as the 'next step up' after spool pins. And honestly, I STILL find some quite challenging.
As I look through the forum, it seems we do have a decent amount of material on them... but it's rather scattered throughout the site.
I think it would be helpful to many to have it all neatly compiled in one subforum... American Locks

And. I'll admit, I have a motive behind my request...lol. These are one of my favorite locks and I'm FINALLY nearing the end of a fairly
lengthy article I've put together. I'd certainly post it in this subforum... BUT I'm just as happy to simply post it in the 'Lock Picking' section.

Thanks

Re: New Subforum?

I agree. I think a lot of the data here, yet very comprehensive, is sometimes hard to find because the organization just isnt here yet. Dont get me wrong. It's obvious I love this site. I just think we can be better off, if we actually start to assign subforums to particular lock manufacturers. Seems we have a good start already, but somewhere along the line, new subforums just weren't created. American Lock is an essential step in progression for most lock pickers. They certainly gave me a run for my money when I first started off, and often times still do. I'd like to see this subforum created, because you know Oldfast will destinguish this new section with one of his awesomely detailed and concise write ups!

Re: New Subforum?

I totally agree, it would be nice to have such kind of resource for some of the locks. By the way, I 'm still looking for an American 5200 full of serrated pins, if anyone sells one I'm really interested.
