OK, piotr helped me by showing the edit button, this post is confusing because I got confused by my own reference to the 90 degree bend which already exists beside the nail head on spokes,
the first bend you make is a tight 180 degrees. forming the trap which then has to be bent off the straight spoke in one or the other direction almost 90 degrees, this bend you must think about because it makes the tool left or right handed. meaning that one side of the tool will have the bulking out of the trap on one end and the coil on the other. a right handed model has this trap on the right side of the tool as well as the coil windings.

oops the moderator can take both this and the previous post out, I was refering to the 90 degree bend that already exists on the nail head end of the spoke the first bend is 180 degrees but the 90 is already there when this long box is made that little bend at the nail head closes the box,
the first bend you make is and inch away and 180 degrees to for a complet long box
I don't post photos but it would have made it clearer
Im just gonna go and hide now

To build on some of the other comments, I would like to see some advanced tool usage in regards to fabrication. Milling machines, stamping metal, laser cutting materials, and the like. I know not everyone here has those tools but it would be interesting top understand them and their application to lock picking.

Rai, can I take this text and add pictures to it and re-post it on this forum? Of course I will give you credit. I think your tutorial would benefit greatly from images that depict each step. I've ordered a set of ring forming pliers and when they arrive I'll photograph my attempts at making one of the Rai-style snappers.
