Sparrows *NEW* Handles

Hey All,

Got a chance to look at the new Sprrows handles that are coming on their picks.

Definately solves the problem of slippage of their previous "sleeve" type handles.

They have a very slight texture yet somewhat stickiness to the grip.

Thickness wise they are narrower than the slip on handles.

Tactile feedback seems good.

Some pics to compare.

of their products. **

Re: Sparrows *NEW* Handles

I still have not used a sparrows pick. I see some people saying they break a good bit and then I hear other people saying they last a long time. Is it worth the money?

I love them since they are thin and have a nice shape,

Only a few of em snapped after a few months.

Re: Sparrows *NEW* Handles

I like them a lot also. I don't fault them for the 2 I broke...I am a very heavy-handed picker. I also put 2 layers of heat shrink on for my handles.
femurat: They're called restricted for a reason...
Innerpicked: The more keys you carry, the more important you look
GWiens2001: Great video! Learned a lot about what fun can be had with a forklift and a chainsaw.

Re: Sparrows *NEW* Handles

I've had a set of these for going on a month (Wizzwazzle set) with the 'NEW' handles,(kinda maybe got them a little ahead of their 'release date' :) I love them, I'm a light touch, so I have had no problems with bending or breaking, also I got a sparrows set for the girlfriend for christmas, she's a very heavy picker and the worst she's done to a pick is put a slight arch into a hook shank, which straightened out quite nicely. They are indeed very thin, and have very good feedback, as well they have a superb surface finish, I didn't even bother to polish mine, where as I have felt the need to polish almost every other pick I've ever owned (HPC, southord, and even a peterson well one of 5)

Just my 2 cents.
Mike
