Recently had a chance to try out the Klom cruciform (cross) picks.
The come as a set of three- one of each of the common dia.

Pros: Easy to use. Very efficient- they make quick work of most cruciform
locks-weather the lock has three or four set of pinstacks.
Fairly comfortable to hold the tools. Nice plastic and metal
construction.

Cons: They do not feel as strong and robust as I would like, but then
again, it may just be the nature of such type of tools-after all
the four picking tines need to flex a fair amount during insertion/
removal.

Overall a nice set. Great value for a good set of tools- about $ 14 (USD)
FOB their office in H.K./ PRC. (the price compares quite favorably to
the single HPC tool selling for many times the price at other suppliers).

Rather than buy the picks, can't a person just pick these with a short hook? I heard that they were not that hard to pick.

I have a few(maybe 3 or 4) of these style locks. I have yet to pick any... but I have barely tried, mostly due to intimidation

if the kidd says he thinks they are easy I may have to get them out when I get home (just put everything I own in a shipping container like literally 5 minutes ago)

I appreciate this thread because I have been interested in these style picks since i saw the safe at work had one of these locks (its GSA approved to hold out COMSEC (comunications security keys and whatnot))

I had a Sentry Safe at the shop that I picked with just a short hook and tension bar, it picked really easy, I don't know if they are all that way or it was just because it was a Sentry. Have not had the opportunity to try another one yet.

I have seen some of these steering wheel locks, like the Club, and some others for sale at some yardsales, all without keys, I wished I would have picked one up just to have a go at it. They all had the Cruciform type lock, I just never paid them much attention.
