if you look at my lock collection you will see i have the internals of a door to mount my mortise cylinders that way i get the satisfaction of actually throwing a bolt!

Nice post. I find some locks do open a lot easier in my hand, although some are exactly the same in a vice... interestingly, I've found that some are even easier when static, mostly because I find it easier to rest the pick on individual pins that way.

For me, I am a hobby picker and I also make a little money doing lockouts, so I try to pick every lock as if it were in a real world situation, mounted or locked onto something, gives me more practice.
I have been in the souls of many women, but I always end up on the soles of there shoes.
