Textured/dipped handles Using Plasti-dip

For this tutorial you will need:
Plasti-dip
a pick core
a rasp/grater
eraser

Step:1

Make some "eraser dust"
Image

2:A: Dip the pick in plasti-dip and sprinkle some eraser dust on it
B: Let it dry for about 40 minutes.

3: Remove excess eraser dust(blow air on in or tap it to your workbech)
The loose bits of dust will fall of on your workbech instead of in the bucket of plasti-dip lol
(no picture needed i hope)

4:
A: Dip it again, be carefull and do it slowly.
Let is soak for a few seconds and then remove it slowly

B:(Optional) carefully remove some of the plasti dip, to make the eraser dust come closer to the surface
I used a paper towel
This is not necessary, it depends on what texturing you want on your handle.

6: Let i dry...Then go pick a lock with it!!
This Handle isn't dry yet:

This is easy to do without a tutorial, but one of my friends asked for one, so i made one :)
This is my first tutorial ever!
I'm too late for the competition, but i don't think i was a worthy opponent anyway lol
It's nice to just share ideas with fellow diy-people and pickers

WARNING: Some bits of eraser dust migt stay in you'r bucket of plasti-dip.
I Dont care about mine, but thats me

Ideas:

Using other colors
Using sand or other types of plastic/rubber
Adding more layers(might kill feedback)
Using smaller/bigger bits of dust to make a different type of texturing

Very creative!

If you're worried about loosing feedback with a too soft handle, you could use some harder material rather than a rubber eraser. Try some hard plastic to get a stiffer handle.

Clean the grater well or your wife will kill you ;)

Yeah...i was thinking about using a harder type of rubber/plastic. But it was easier to make dust from an eraser lol
I used The hardest eraser i could find, so the feedback in my picks are ok :)

Thanks for the feedback!
