Cracking a Combination Padlock

I wrote a manual / paper on how to crack a combination padlock and retrieving the combination required.

Although this technique is probably already known to many of you, perhaps it can help someone who doesn't know yet.

Here's the link to the pdf.

Cheers,

Mark

Arguing on forums is like running in the special olympics,
even if you win, you're still retarded.

Re: Cracking a Combination Padlock

There are many combination mechanisms, but most fall under a few catagories. Open, and Concealed.
This cheap padlock is a very low grade security, as it can be decoded simply be reading the discs, as he has shown.

Higher grades, for example a Simplex mechanism, have concealed combinations and you cannot view or read the combination.
