just guessing but the notch in the end of his whench was made by a triangle file or a dremel cut off wheel its function is to keep the wrench in the lock because the hard stainless bites into the soft brass lock.

at the end of the windshield wiper blades they have a notch similar is that how they were made you just cut off the part and the notch was already there?

discarded airline headphones were my steel source at the time ...
LOL they have a notch in the end to keep the headphone earpiece from sliding right off.
that's it, that's all that's all there is....

The fourth wrench from the left. It looks like there is a little notch towards the bottom. Is that the notch he is talking about? or is that just the way the picture looks???? I'm wondering what that is used for. Thanks! Riff
