Ingersoll 700series key blanks wanted

Hi, I'm a locksmith in the UK and I have a few cs712 ingersoll padlocks, all new and unused with codes on the boxes.
I have been told these use Q section blanks that were made for the North American market. Not available in the UK.
Can anyone shed any light on these.
Thanks
Mario

You wouldn't be trying to sell a lock to a guy by the name of B*** S****** by any chance? There's a very similar question being asked elsewhere at the moment as well.

This is not the correct key but it does go into the keyway.

This may help - sks as them in stock currently available - worth a shot looks close
see topic Ingersoll key codes on here - we managed to produce a cut card for the blitz in 2013
They are pickable - 10 levers 5 each side - :longhook: to work on

Have plenty of those.
As said, I've been told it's a Q section by ingersoll , although they may be speaking with fork tongue.

Re: Ingersoll 700series key blanks wanted

I don't remember a Q section but that may be because they aren't for the UK?
Sks usually are the ones to help, I even got restricted M blanks from them once but only because they had got a load in for a rekey job at Sandringham Palace.
However sks have seriously gone down hill recently especially since Tracy started gobbing off down the phone so I've moved all business to duffells who aren't as good on keys.

To be honest that keyway doesn't look anything special, it's been a while since I did any Ingersoll but I would guess an S? But that's only a guess, it must be 15 years since I did any. If you have blanks that fit properly use them, the wrong blanks on an unworn ingersol keyway don't fit well if at all.

The 10 lever is still one of my favorite locks.

I agree, it doesn't look anything special but it is.
It's not an S.
S is on the left and centre. The key that goes in is on the right. Look at bottom right, the centre spine is very sharp.
Best way to study profiles of blanks and keys is to look at the flutes as they disappear into the Bow.

if you look at my key board, you will see I have all off these hanging on the hooks.
Thanks for everyone's input.
All padlocks have been sold (without blanks).
