S&G 8500 Group 1 locks for sale

Anyone in the Winnipeg Manitoba area interested in a S&g 8500 lock. I have 5 of them for sale. They come with a rear guard so even if someone drills they can't bore scope to get combo..
Will ship at buyers expense if wanted but prefer Canadian/Winnipeg area sale...

I am not sure of going prices on these as I usually only play with 6700.. Is $50 too much?

Hmm, that seems decent. I have never had an 8500 and they don't come up often so I don't know prices either. Cana-bucks right?

If I could only find an 8500 seller like I did with 6700s for $24 each shipped

I am in Winnipeg and interested at $50. But first, question for safe guys: are these a good beginners lock for learning manipulation? I am a complete novice re combination locks.

Re: S&G 8500 Group 1 locks for sale

This is a group 1 MP lock, it is very hard to manipulate and requires special techniques. A lot of the pros can't even do it.

Your best bet would be to get a S&G 6700/6730 etc. These are really the best to start with. Another that is commonly recommended is the LaGard 3330 but they generally have some issues that make them harder for beginners.

Thanks Riy.

Sorry, but I guess this lock is no good for my purposes.

I usually get my 6700 locks from noble on Notre dame. If you are serious about learning we can get together and I can show you some tricks..

Thanks for the offer. I am pretty laid back right now but do plan to work on combos in the future, so I'll take a rain check if that's OK.
I haven't had a very friendly response from Noble when looking for locks in the past. Do they sell you the 6700's or give you old ones? I would like to pick up a decent 6700 for future use.

They usually throw an old 6700 together and charge me about $40
