Selling new U-Change rim/mortise cylinders and keys

Alright, I have a bunch of new U-Change mortises to sell along with keys.

They are new but the boxes vary in condition and some may be a bit rougher do to shipping. Each will include 2 factory keys that have tarnish from storage. All keys are cut the same. There are a few each of rim and mortise cylinders.

The cost is $30 each plus shipping. Several can fit into a box. I also have some extra keys that I will sell for $2.50 a piece. A couple keys can be safely shipped in a few sheets of paper in an envelope for $1.

Shipping will be from the USA in a small flat rate box. Cost to USA is $7.

Funds are quoted in USD. Payment will be accepted by Paypal.

Not to be a dick but that is a rim cylinder.

But U-Change locks are a fun pick. I have serviced these in the field and they are not all that bad to repair once you've done it a couple times. Much easier than a KW Smartkey.

Can't tell from the angle. There could be threads to do both mortise and rim. But you have younger eyes than I do.

I don't know about younger eyes, you looked to be in your thirties and I am slightly past that.

It looks like it is just a brushed finish except the top. And I didn't see any cams to operate as a mortise in the hardware pack.

Re: Selling new U-Change mortises and keys

You might be right. I thought they were mortises but it has been at least a year since I have seen them so I sent keymaster a PM to ask.

Didn't that guy Lauren invent a bypass tool for those locks?

But now the images of the bypass tool are gone, so how can I make one too?

The dimension and instruction are still in the original post.
Bosnianbill's video has a couple close-ups around 2:19.
LockPickShop.com sells the bypass kit.
The only place I have seen these locks are at my local mall.
They look very interesting.

Ok, post updated. There are a number of rim and mortise cylinders. If you want one over the other let me know.

Re: Selling new U-Change rim/mortise cylinders and keys

Thanks for the link and info jharveee. With all these info I can make it
I've seen the video and discovered that the bypass doesn't reset the lock. I can easily pick it and want to reset it to the new key I'll get from Riyame, so I'll just pick it and rotate it 90 degrees CW, insert a tension wrench handle into the change hole, insert the new key, remove the tension wrench and rotate it back to remove the key. Here are the instructions I found. Sorry Riyame for derailing your thread.

Cheers :)

So I purchased this key to REKEY my lock to its bittings. I was going to pick the lock open, insert the rekey tool and set it to the new the key.
Yesterday evening I got the key and just to prove that the key didn't work, I tried it. To my surprise the lock opened. Less work to do I guess.
I wonder how many chances I had to get a matching key, considering I got this lock some time ago from another member.

Thanks :)
