For Sale: American 1100 - Aluminum, 5 Pin Padlocks

Selling two (2) sets of NIB American 1100 padlocks, 5 pin with serrated and spoorated pins, 1.50" x 1.75", short shackle.

Each set will consist of two (2) Model 1100 padlocks, keyed differently for the phenomenally unbelieveable price of $14.00 per set! That's less than retail! (Plus $2.50 shipping per set, - in the Continental US)

Such a deal!.... today, and today only! Well maybe this week...

And if you are one of the first two to request it, your bud - HallisChalmers - his ownself, will skillfully and with surgical precision remove all non-serrated pins and replace them with factory fresh, unblemished, fully serrated driver pins! Wow!

But wait there's more! I won't charge you anything for labor! Hotdamn! When was the last time you had someone working FOR YOU - at absolutely no cost? Yeah, it's been a while hasn't it? Ever since you made the ol' lady rewind the crinlkled up Elegant Angel porn video before returning it to the dirty...ahem..ADULT bookstore.

Think about the carnival ride of fun you will have picking an American 1100 - with SERRATED pins all the way around!

Your lockpicking minions will bow their heads in awe at your skill!

Remember, 1105's are as common as razor stubble on a stripper's coochie -.....ahhhh, but an 1100? Sheeyit. Those are for real players, bruthas.

I accept PayPal only - so send me a PM.

For the guys overseas, if you really want them - you'll have to pay additional shipping costs. It's about $25 to ship to the UK.

Hurry! Before they're gone!

See the vid below to see what they look like.

[Edit: Have more locks availbale if interested. The box labels show they are 1106's - although the lock engraving says 1100 Series. The difference between 1105's and 1106's is the length of the shackle - with 1106's slightly longer than 1105's. See link: http://www.mrlock.com/eshop/locks/mfg/american/1100.html?id=FHviV6GP

Same pricing - but this time you'll need to pay actual shipping charges, depending on where they are shipped.]

All,

Thought I would let everyone know - I took Hallis up on his offer, and I got the locks UPS'ed to me within a couple of days just as advertised. And Hallis threw in an instruction manual to boot. Well, actually not an instruction manual but he did send me a helpful e-mail with advice on how to approach American padlocks. So I'm hoping that that and a lot of determination will do the trick.

Other than an American 1205 which I never really got started on, this is my first experience with Americans and all their serrated pins. I've given myself a goal of being able to pick them by Thanksgiving. By "being able to pick them", I mean getting to the point where I can consistently open each lock under a minute apiece.

Time's a wasting. Back to the locks.

dont rush it...take a deep breath....top of keyway tension makes ALL the difference when picking American 1100 series...super light tension....once you DO get consistent at opening them, you will never look at an American lock in the same light again ...it's a neat feeling knowing you Pwn
them..

Re: For Sale: American 1100 - Aluminum, 5 Pin Padlocks

Follow up on the American locks - For a week or so I spent about 45 minutes a day on the two 1100's I bought from Halllis, along with a 1205 I had lying around. On the third or fourth day, something clicked, and I got all through locks open within a few minutes of each other.

So what was the trick? I followed Hallis and Awol's advice - top of keyway tension, and very light tension at that. After a while you get a feel for when a pin has reached the shear line and won't go any further, as opposed to a serrated pin.

So I can now consistenly get each lock open in about a minute. One thing I thought was interesting is that even though I can get the locks open, I can still have a hard time distinguishing between the serrated pins and spool pins. Of course, if I get a false set it's pretty easy to figure out which the spool pins are, but sometimes I get the lock picked without a false set. There are a few pins I SUSPECT are spools and not serrated, but until I take out the core, I won't know for sure.

Hallis, Awol, thanks for the advice. I want to get a few more Americans and see how I do on them. I'll keep you posted.

i also bought two, one needed a 5 minute pinning adjustment,
the other i picked right out of the pack. i enjoyed the hell out of picking all serrated pins...
spools seem to make it easier, so i prefer not to have them in there. here are the results, including the repair ,on video..
thanks once again,hallis....the bittings were a challenge.
