Xeo that is Peterson's rubber handles right? The ones they sell for $15 a piece right? How better or worse are they to Peterson's plastic handles? Wondering why such a price hick from 8 to 15 when the steel is exactly the same and dipping I imagine is a much cheaper process.

Here are some pics I have on me. Ill snap some new pics and post after the weekend because I have added a good number of tools since these old pics.

PG.

Nice tools.

Question: what locks are these tension tools used on? They look like the ones that come with dimple GOSO sets and I have never figured out what they are good for. Then again I don't have access to a lot of different locks.

I own these. I have never used the thicker one, but the thinner one is nice when picking a padlock that's in use and in an awkward orientation. A good example is when you have to reach over a gate or if the lock is in tight quarters.

Neilau, I honestly dont even know myself. All of the tool in the top picture along with a few more I got from a gent of craiglists. New picker bough a shit load of tool (mostly bypass stuff as you can tell) and quite 6m in. Good kid and the price was as close to free as can be with these tools lol. Im not much into raking/bypassing so I havent even explored any of them much.

Posted this earlier in the EDC thread a while back, but hey, whatever — my main pick set:

It’s changed slightly. I might throw up some picks of the extended set and other gear later. (:

Edit: just noticed how dated this is, and that the cloth flap is hiding the actual goods. I’ll update the photo.

Hi guys these are my go to picks as I s.p.p. Locks more than raking there are diffrent hooks various thicknesses the brass handled ones are the ones I made they are in 0.23 tho to o.19.thou and is 0.18 the 3 deep hooks are the ones what Freddy pick made I am thinking of making some picks for paracentric keyways has anyone got any ideas I was thinking more like Peterson's dcaps in 0.17 thou thick with starett feelers gauge

Looks like it's been a while since anyone has posted new pick pics, so thought I'd share my obvious sign of addiction collection... keeping in mind, I'm still in the compulsive need everything exploratory stages of lockpicking, I may have a stupid excessive amount a few more than I use regularly. However, being temporarily broke content with what I have, I haven't bought any new picks for a few weeks pretty good while... :???:

Granted, there are definitely some in there I don't use or like all that much... I just recently got the full lineup of the Peterson hooks because I fell in love with the .018" H1 and H7 euro slenders, but I'm not a big fan of the shorter, fatter ones so will probably take those out (maybe). I much prefer the Euro-style thinner/longer shanks in general. The rest are mostly Southord and some Sparrows, and the deep reach hook is handmade by Mastersmith. You can probably tell I'm a fan of the bogata-style rakes (still convinced they're magic) and recently added the Peterson Wonder Waves set, which open lots of stuff quick. Also in there are Sparrows Abus & American bypass tools, and the King/Queen/Knight/Rook that I bought out of sheer curiosity (they open Kwiksets pretty well).

If I had to pick out a set of go-to favorites, they would be the Sparrows short hook from the SSDev set, the Peterson .018" euro slender hooks, a Southord deforrest diamond that I've rounded off a bit, Sparrows Offset Hybrid, and the mastersmith custom reach hook or the Peterson Reach for 7-pins.

Damn! I love it!

On the right; looks like you're mowin' down locks with spread-shot.
On the left; a vast array of deadly surgical hooks and diamonds.

In the future I see tensioners gobbling up a little more real estate within
that case. Though, it looks like what you have will cover most everything.

Where did you get the case from? It's pretty awesome!
