What is this ?
Is it an extractor ? Is it for something totally different ?
I have no clue. Any help would be appreciated.

The back of the Packet reads:
Use with rug wool or canvas and cut rug wool.
Fold a length or rug wool in half to form a loop, hold in left hand.
Place latch hook through first hole in canvas under canvas strand and cut through hole above.
Place looped wool over hook and pull back through holes. This will close latch hook as you pull.
Pass wool over opened latch.
Catch remaining strands over hook and pull through loop forming a knot.
Don't ask me to explain that, or why i have one BNIP, i just do.

aka.decoy wrote::agree: Latch hooks usually have a handle, or don't have that funky curve on the back end. Some people also use them to turn tubular things they've sewn inside out, hiding the seams.
