The agency pick gun

Wondered who else knows about the agency lock pick gun and how it worked.

The Agency Lockpick Gun

This is one of the "spy tools" developed by the CIA for use by their agents.

Picture a deck of standard playing cards. From the one edge of the deck an up and down needle sticks out and a bit below that a type of tension wrench sticks out.

Its unique design combines an electric pickgun, with the up and down needle, and a specially shaped tension wrench like tool into one compact unit.

The agent has 4 different shaped wrenchs to choose from depending on what keyway shape the lock they are attempting to open has.

Clicking on the images will enable you to see them better.

Locks are opened by inserting the picking needle and the attached wrench and gently rotating the pick gun back and forth until the lock opens .

kinda makes me wonder about the skillsets possessed by your average CIA agents...(at that time)

Re: The agency pick gun

The lock pick gun was developed decades ago to allow police officers who were not skilled in the art of lock picking to open locks with minimal instruction.
Round my way they dont use this method any more, they just break the door of hits hinges

Nice find :D

Actually It was battery operated

What I was interested in was the special shaped tension wrenches that were built in .

One handed lockpicking device with a device.

I wonder if these type of wrenches have any advantages?
