Homemade MT5 Pick Stage 1

IMG_0210.JPG
This is my Link for picking the MUL-T-LOCK the locks we use in Australia are left hand up
http://youtu.be/bTgbOnK5iCU

In these locks they have outer pins from A to D D is the deepest the inner pins are 1 to 5 how they are loaded into the lock
are A outer pin with 1 or 2 inner pin B outer pin with 1 or 2 or 3 inner pin C outer pin with 2 or 3 or 4 inner pin D outer Pin with 3 or 4 or 5 inner pin
My key that I have used is cut to all D5 you can see the little step just before the lifter is so if there is a D5 in the lock that does not have to be picked
in the lock on my video the 3rd pin was a D5. this is the first stage of my pick I have to make stage 2 and stage 3 so i can pick the MT5+ lock.

It is funny when you start picking the MT5+ lock when you pick the outer pins the barrel turns about 2 degrees then the locking bar kicks in
when you pick the locking bar finger pins the barrel turns about 3 degrees then when you pick the inner pins the lock is open.
I need to make a device to hold the barrel at 2 degrees so it wont re-lock (stage 2)
I need to make a device to pick the locking bar finger pins (stage 3)
then when i pick the locking bar finger pins then the device needs to be
adjusted so the locking bar does not re-lock (stage 4) so I can then pick the Inner Pins I think I Might need three hands

Re: Homemade MT5 Pick

Hi and welcome to the forum. Cool homebrew, it looks almost identical to the commercial Mul-T-Lock picks.
There are a few Aussies on here. :hbg:

Dammit, like I didn't already have enough things I need to make. Awesome pick man, I like it.

Re: Homemade MT5 Pick

There is a homebrew section of the forum where members post tutorials on how to make stuff. We'd love it if you posted more detail on how you made the Mul-T-Lock pick.
