I'm curious, what is this "Alpha" spring you speak of. I'm factory certified for mechanical and electronic systems by Mul-T-Lock and have never heard this term used before.

in the pick posted by awol70 what is the black spot on the key?

Also does anybody know of a good place to buy Mul-T-Lock in Canada and what is the going price for them?

The black spot is the interactive pin, think of it as a pin in the key instead of in the lock.

Just to clarify,
the pick in this link is designed for Garrison non pin-in-pin Mul-T-Lock,
and wil not open the interactive.
notice the 7 guide slots on the barrel of the pick.
the pick designed for opening the interactive has only five guides, (the second one being deeper,to allow picking of the floating pin.)
the spacing on the dedicated garrison 7 pin does not allow for picking the interavtive,nor does it carry the pointy tip on the flag portion of the tip for setting the inner pins.
