please help...i had to disassemble a garrison 7-pin euro 1 sided eurocyl,
and while taking it apart lost a few mastering wafers...i can deal with that..... but what is this hole? seems to me that if i reassemble the cylinder, and key it 360 deg. ,
the drivers will get stuck in this depression.
what is it for?
am i missing a piece ?
does it stay empty...?
gutterclown. tooly, i am looking  to your corner of the classroom for answers...=/
hope someone here can help..i really want to get this lock back together again.

I also want to know what that shit is. The ASSA 700 has a similar thing and it happens that a driver pin gets stuck in it and if you have sealed the lock you will have to drill the seal to get the lock open. My teacher didn't know what it was there for nor could we come up with any theory. It just seems stupid to have there.

I don't work with Mul-T-Lock here in Aus that much, but what you can do is slide your plug follower through until you let one top pin fall out, grab it with your pinning tweezers and see if it does actually fit into the hole.

It could be some form of construction-keying system.

Failing that, fill it with some of the epoxy resin you're using on your pick handles, and file flat.

Is that hole not central to two pin stacks? I recall having one on the garisson I cut away. Seemed ok on full rotation. But could get stuck when extracting the cylinder at the wrong point.
