Just a little pick I knocked up from a wiper insert.
I needed a long reach small hook for a seven pin cylinder.
It turned out so well that it has become my “go to” pick. It is VERY tough. I have applied quite a bit of tension to it and it hasn’t even flexed, let alone bent.
I am quite surprised at how strong it is. The blade is 32 thou. thick.
I’m a big fan of double ended picks, so put a small half diamond on the other end. Together they have produced a very useful tool.
It’s not a work of art like some of the picks there but is very functional (and shiny – 1800 grit).
Made it all on an old bench grinder and thought I’d share it as I really like it and as an example of what you can make from wiper inserts besides tension tools.
