Has anyone here ever made one of these? I watched a youtube video and was very impressed. I'd be very interested in finding someone to custom build one for me. Thanks.
Re: Dragon Tail Rake
If you posted a link to the video or a picture of the pick it might help.
The pick name doesn't ring a bell offhand, it might just the name someone gave a pick they made for themselves.

Re: Dragon Tail Rake
I found only one video on youtube with a "Dragon Tail Rake" and it was of a guy opening a Master #3 with it. The rake itself looked pretty cool, but can't say that I'm terribly impressed with the demonstration. AVjoe, did you have another video you were thinking of?

Hi Scudo,
The picture you posted had to be removed due to copyright laws. Feel free to post a link or embed the youtube video itself though.

Re: Dragon Tail Rake
A rake to go with the dragon tension wrench eh? It probably works fine on some locks, but I think a correctly sized bogota would be more useful.
Re: Dragon Tail Rake
Check out his technique, he uses a loose grip rocking motion with the pivot being somewhere in the keyway. Seems to be the perfect tool for how he picks.
Re: Dragon Tail Rake
Well yes. It obviously works, but I'm wondering if it's a bit of a one trick pony. Maybe I'm being too cynical, but I'd like to see how it performs on, say, a Yale rim cylinder. Hey, maybe by this time next year we'll all have one.
