New pick, Micarta handles

Finished up this pick today, for now at least. Probably going to spend a bit more time polishing before I'm happy with it. Pick is made from a hacksaw blade and the handles are black paper micarta that I made, with a brass pin and epoxy holding the scales.

Thanks guys, and you should try paper, canvas gives better grip but paper polishes much cleaner.

I like the handle, looks solid and has a nice and original shape. Dunno if the black background is a good choice to show a black pick, you may try a different one and show us another picture :P

Cheers :)

Makes sense, this is the other side. The first picture is the side I did with a small dremel bit, this side was done with a round file. Love me that anso pattern.

I've got a few more homemade pics, a few with wood and the rest are electro-etched.

Thanks for the new picture. Now that I've seen it better, I like the handle even more.

Cheers :)
