Just thought i would share my current collection of my DIY lock picks

the handles look pretty cool.. did you wrap the metal with wire and use heat shrink tubing on the ends?

thats exactly what I did. I used the internal wire from cat5 cable and heat shrink tubing. It works out quite well and the handles feel good to the hands while picking

as an IT guy, I think that is genius!! what material did you make the picks out of? one of these days I am going to try making my own.

The material is spring steel pulled from windshield wiper blades and when you have several boxes of cat5 cable sitting around, you gotta find a use for it.

Those look cool.

Maybe make them in 8pc sets. One handle in each color of CAT5 wire.

Might not be a bad idea, but the white striped wires are not at pretty as the solid wires.
