HomeMade LockPicking Station

Hi guys.
It's not really a tool, but I made this station to hold my locks because I don't have a vise to hold them.

It's just nailed and glued together from some old offcuts of MDF board.
It has holes to hold the lock in both orientations with tensioning screws to hold the cylinders in place. as well as a strip of plastic from an old juice bottle to hold the padlock.
And of course, it's clamped to the desk. It is very firm and secure, there is no play in any areas.

pretty basic I know, but I thought I'd share.

Looks like you put a little more effort into yours than I did. Mine is a C-clamp which is C-clamped to the table. And I have one of those magnets they feed to cattle stuck to the second clamp which holds my picks. I was going to do whip up one of those triple-lock-stands out of a block of wood similar to yours, but I was too excited to start picking.

Looks great Adam! Just a thought for your padlocks....

Maybe screw an eyelet into the side (or one in each side).
You could lock up and hang a padlock from each side :)
It would also give you kind of a 'real world' picking scenario.

Anyway, looks great... I was just throwin' ideas out there.
