question about feeler gauge

My question is has anyone actually used the gauge stock that comes in a roll? When it comes off the roll does it go back to being straight? it seems to me that once it has been rolled like that it will always have a bend.

I personally have not used it for picks, but I've used a roll of strip metal at work quite a few times. If it's a few feet long it has a bow to it, but short pieces are pretty flat providing the roll isn't too tight. I think Violaetor uses a coil for picks, not sure if it's feeler guage stock though.

I do use a coil, but it is not feeler gauge. Minimal retention from the coil, but can't speak of the feeler stock as they are different compositions and tempers.
