Nice work. I wonder how long a wood key would hold up in the meantime, until you can make a metal one.

Had I used oak or a different hardwood it probably wouldn't be too bad but pine isn't fonna last long the disk have already after maybe ten times opening smashed groves into key I just kind of made it for the hell of it to see if I could thanks for pic sour it worked first try after eyeballing it from ur drawing and picture no measuring devices were used on this all freehand

what about using an appropriate diameter of brass tubing, and slitting / halving it, and use that to hold your JB weld? as a strongback, or for that matter, would just cutting the tubing to the appropriate bitting work? I've never had an environmental, do the wafers touch the edge of the bitting or the face?
