Re: How I make picks

Wow Raytoke! Those are some nice lookin' picks you make there! Nice tutorial too! I need more machining tools...

South Korea eh? That oughta be pretty interesting. Food should be good too, I love me some Korean food! YUM!

Too bad you couldn't get outta the city before this winter started though. The weather there should be much nicer than the 'ol windy city for sure! I gotta say personally, I'm glad I'm in FL and not Chicago anymore... I hate cold and snow! Good luck!

I was hoping to leave before winter, but I got a job at a public school and the school year there starts March 1st.

I hate the cold and snow too. I am from Chicago, but I lived in San Diego 5 years, it was great not having winter.

I'll still be around on the forum. I might keep making some wood handled picks in Korea.

Re: How I make picks

You actually from Chicago or the 'burbs? I gotta ask being from there myself and knowing that everyone within a 100 mile radius tells people that aren't from around there that they are from Chicago because it's easier to explain. I used to live up near Devon and Western for a while and down By Ashland and Diversey too... and I did a stint in the NW suburbs as well before coming to my senses and moving to a better climate. Although I do miss the city, I don't miss the winter!

Western suburbs. About a 45 minute away. On the internet or when talking to people who aren't from here, like you said, it's much easier to just say Chicago than saying Wheaton, where I actually am.

I am hoping to find a job someplace warmer than here after I am done in Korea. Winter depresses me.

Yeah, I know where Wheaton is...
