Making my first pick

Im going to start working on it tomorrow, so I ran and picked up some tools.

I imagined the klein material being wider and not as thick. I think I can make it work though - I have some creative ideas for handles. I'll post pics when they're done.

I was curious if anyone had any pointers they wanted to share on the topic of bench grinders and dremmels w/ metal.

Re: Making my first pick

Pretty good, did you taper the width of the pick down? Klein is pretty thick, took me a lot of hand sanding to get the width down to a decent size.
Naaapaalm...sticks to kids...it sticks to the belly and it sticks to the ribs...
See those kids standing by the lake...drop some napalm and watch them bake.

I kind of like the thickness, and havent had any problems yet getting it into any keyways - im sure that will change as I progress. - I;; probably thin them out at that point.
