Thanks, LSA. That is nice to hear. I really try to make my picks better every time I make them so that, one day, they will be truly remarkable. I have stated this before, but I always want feedback on the picks I make, no matter what that feedback may be. The only way to get better at something is to get honest input.

In my opinion, Doug is in the top three or four pickmakers I've ever seen.

Re: ChonkyTonks Custom Picks

Thanks for your positive and encouraging words, guys. I sincerely appreciate it. My goal is to always make custom picks that are both phenomenal in workmanship and function.

As an update for anyone here who has an order in the queue, I wanted to let you all know that I am currently working on a 9-pick order that should take me a fair amount of time (intricate designs). Please keep that in mind if you begin to wonder, "Where am I in the queue?" If you want to know where you are in the queue, just email me and I will tell you. I will be posting an update to my blog, as well.

MBI Pick Set Preview:

Here is a preview of a pick (one of nine in a set) for MBI. I still have some work to do (filing the flame tips that are showing and rounding out the curves), but I wanted to post an update since I have been working on these for so long. This pick handle was sanded to 12000 grit. I did not want anyone to think that I was dead or simply picking my butt.

As always, let me know what you think.

WOW!!!! That's all I can say! I can't stop drooling on my phone! I agree with Ed, I can't imagine the time and effort that goes into a work of art like that. That must be 8-10+ hours for one. Just amazing and the most stunning pick I've ever seen. You have certainly raised the bar..again!

Wow! Awesome. I am simultaneously impressed and intimidated by the intricacy of the design and its execution. Your craftsmanship is most definitely improving. Very impressed. Making a set of nine like that must take an extraordinary level of patience, discipline and attention to detail. Well done! Your work is inspirational to me. It motivates me to try harder. I eagerly anticipate the set you will make for me.
