old wiper blade set (copy from EZ =])

This post is basically a carbon copy of the one from EZ but I' figured I'd share for those who hadn't seen it. ;)

Here is a set I made about a year ago. I thought I had left it at somebody's house and would never see it again. Then I found it in an old backpack.

The whole set is made of wiper inserts and a couple of key-chain rings.

Two differently spaced bogotas and some hooks

Some differently spaced king/queen influenced picks and a rake

A diamond, a bypass tool, and a random screwdriver thing

What a tidy little set... I was thinking of doing something similar with hacksaw blades.

I didn't post again across the street because I solved the drilling dilemma. Thanks for the really cool idea. I had seen the feeler gauge set, but this is totally home brew wiper inserts. Right? My cup o tea. Already have three hooks, a bogota half diamond, a 3 peak bogota, and a columbian king. It's so compact and functional I am hooked on the design.

I see now why you chose to make the tip end have extra space. Great fabrication and Great post.

He stood without and would not knock,

Re: old wiper blade set (copy from EZ =])

Thanks everyone. I thought I had responded since the original post but I guess I only responded on EZ...

To answer some questions:
-The picks are only gold due to the lighting.
-I used a drill press for the holes. after using a center-punch to get an indent, I make quick (less than a second) plunges. In between plunges I wet/cool the pick with a wet sponge. Also, I make the holes before shaping the pick so that if I ruin the hole I don't ruin the pick.
-Yes they are all homebrew from wiper inserts.
-I think I remember each pick taking around 45min-1hour. The set was a work in progress for a while with an additional pick added every week or so.

Thanks for the feedback! this is my favorite travel set and I definitely recommend making one like it.

Again, sorry for never responding. I guess all of my responses were posted on EZ... RIP :(
