Nice set of picks,
I get confused are they meant to be picks or rakes

Depends on which one you are referring to... both are picks as rakes are a type of pick, but that is just splitting hairs...

More to the point, in the flat set from jruther2 one is a short hook and one is a rake; in the set from Raimundo (the originator of the bogota pair,) one is a half diamond/short hook/handcuff key and the other is the rake. Both designs use the back end of the other as the TW. Both are good sets for sure!

Hope this makes sense.

Thank you very much for the pics elbow! This is exactly what I've been needing in order to be able to improve my rakes.

Oh, just so we don't get any whining about copying content, rai has publicly stated that the bogotas are his gift to the locksport community, as is his guide.

Those look a lot larger then Ray's original style.

I am surprised that he gave away his how to guide, if you Google "Bogota lock pick" you get a lot of responses of people crazy about them. I bet he could have made a lot of money from it.

Yeah, that's not even hosted on his site (if he even has one) and hosted with his permission... and he's said repeatedly that they are for the public good or some similar shit...
