What did you make that from?

well im not ray so i cant know for sure, but i do believe he just used a windshield wiper insert to make it...

what is the reason for the serrated blade?

the serrations help it from slipping out of the keyway. it really sucks when youve been picking a lock for like 10 minutes and then your wrench slips out resetting everything making you start over

i made it from a wiper insert,and the blade is serrated to add a bit of extra grip @ the top of the keyway..stainless being very hard,and brass being very soft,the serrations very effecively "bite"
into the brass lessening the chances of slipping,.
works like a charm.
