latest Pick

This is my latest pick. It took me a long time to make as I have a lot of stuff going on at once and don't get a chance to work in the shop. This pick is spoken for.

Nice. What sort of wood did you use for the handle?

Very nice work there. How is the pick blade held to the handle?

Re: latest Pick

mmmm Delicious work, chief!
Did you slide the blade into the wood or laminate the pieces with epoxy or something?

Good job!

Re: latest Pick

Thank you everyone. The Pick is very ratyoke because it is a copy of one of the picks he made he is still the man. (that is why I didn't sell it)
The wood for the handle was bought by my wife for me while I was in Calgary but I think it is a dogwood.
The handle is one solid block and it is cut and sanded then finally a slit is cut and the blade is held in place with epoxy.
The whole thing is sanded about a million times and then varnished 3 times
