so I finally convinced the wife to let me buy a bench grinder... and not even had it a day and ive made a beautiful pick, now forgive the non shinyness, i have not sanded this pick at all.

for the handle i went with an idea from game, and instead of evenly spacing the tubes i went for a racing stripe idea... cause i felt like it lol

I like it! What sort of alloy did you use for the pick body?

Looks good... I like the undercut before the pick shaft. I've been doing that on the last couple sets I've made, it's really comfortable.

Nice job with the bench grinder. I think we're looking forward to seeing the finished picks !

Hope others who use grinders also use shop glasses and a face mask- the fine metal and grinding wheel dust is probably not so good to breath in.

yeah it probably isnt. i make my picks with a dremel. when ever i make a pick or two i'm picking black gunk out my nose for the next day. i've started to wear a bandana over my mouth and nose. i still need to get something for my eyes.

Yeah, I hear ya there bro! And the picks I make keep getting shorter and shorter in profile too. But, I gotta find some better stock to go any thinner than I'm going now though. Maybe an order of some feeler gauge stock is in my future.

That's awesome, your giving me ideas. I love my bench grinder BTW BIG time saver. Usually I end up finishing with files.
