In the first pic it's a bit dirty...I missed that before I snapped it....oh well.

It's got the trademark 'bulb' shape on the pick end. It looks inviting, I'd love to try it! Bravo and let us know how it performs.

Provided I get the anodizing down to an "it always works fine" stage, within a week, I would say. If anyone is interested, let me know what you think you want, and I can start on the pick blades and handles. for instance, if I have 3 people that all want shorthooks, offset diamonds and bogotas, I know to make 3 of each and can prepare for it.

If you request a set or a pick please be sure you really want it. When the time comes I'll tell you when I'm going to start your set so you can get payment ready.

I noticed one thing that I wondered about, I know it's a sample pick, I like the color and the handle, it looks nice, but the screws in the handle, are they flush? They look like they stick out of the handle.

Ok, I do not mean this in a bad way at all, but I do not get the whole reason to have pretty picks. Are these comfortable to use? I still can't beat my Peterson rubber handles.

If I soldered a pick to the positive tip of a AA cell would that be an anodized pick?

I can't speak for everyone but, for myself, I've experienced enough ugly picks. I've done the hacksaw blade bootleg, I've done the picks that I find in the bottom of a box and go "what the hell was I thinking?" and I've bought factory picks. Unique picks are easy to come by. Go grind something out on a wheel and pick something with it. What most of us don't have are picks that are unique *and* attractive.
If they're attractive, then many of us post them on here to share. Even if they aren't attractive but purely utilitarian, they are worth posting.
Anyone can go buy a set of Peterson's provided they have enough cash. *I* want a set of Petersons. But what I don't have, is $100+ to blow all at once on them. Even if I did have a set of Petersons I would still want (and still do want) one of Ratyoke's picks because nothing you can buy from a store is as nice and tasty and delicious.
Lock picking/smithing/sport is inherently a collectors activity - at least for most of us. Most of us can't get enough locks, or picks or pick cases, or bypass tools, etc.
One thing worth mentioning now that I'm on a roll is that any pick I make is 100% usable and functional. I've made pics that were pretty but uncomfortable but wouldn't ever sell one.
