Re: Cut away

here is my first attempt at a cutaway...its not finished yet,as i have to straighten the cuts out a bit,
and widen them a bit, with a flat file....
this cutaway is a six pin sc4 schlage keyway, and one of the cool features is the pin stacks,
(which are mastered also)can be loaded from the top, without disassembly of the lock,
due to the little removable retaining clip i made from a peice of spring stainless.(wiper insert)
now i just have to find some schlage spool pins, and it'll be set.(my local locksmith didnt' even know what a spool pin was..=) i had to draw him a doodle of one on a scrap of paper.....
what does that tell you....?
its an indication of something....(not sure what..under qualification, maybe?)

but it could be worse, you could lock yourself in... hahaha

Re: Cut away

believe it or not i went to my local locksmith a while back and asked him what type of pins some lock had and he looked at me puzzled, i then said "is there any security pins in it" again he just looked at me puzzled so exactly as you did ray i drew him a little doodle to show him what i meant.

not good for a so called pro locksmith.
