Feeler stock picks - Start to finish.

Well, I just got a good deal on 3 rolls of feeler stock.

I always search for the same thickness I love in my wiper inserts (0.8mm) and today I found a lot of 3 going for the price of 1 and couldn't turn it down.
75 feet of feeler stock... Needless to say, I'll be looking to unload a roll, maybe two.

Anyways, this thread will be a start to finish look at my dive in to feeler stock picks. I have made pick from feeler gauge before, but thought I would document this (my biggest) leap in to pick making. Until now, I've primarily used wiper inserts. Some 1/2 inch fish tape, and other stuff too, but this will be my first try with such nice material.
I'm sure I'll be able to turn out a good looking pick.

So here is Day 1, Bought the stock.
Not where I bought it from, but it's the exact same stock.

Type C 1095 high carbon steel.
RC 48-52.

I will update this thread as I progress through the project.

Looks like perfect material for picks. I hope they come out well. If they're anything like your quick picks I'm sure they will.
