slimline "slow curve" EURO MEDIUM HOOK

here is a euro medium slimline hook, mainly effective on locks like ™Yale.
i used a wide wiper insert for the blade, then sandwiched the blade between two more
shorter inserts, along with some 2-part liquid steel epoxy resin, then covered with a first layer of dual-wall shrink tubing, then lastly, a final jacket of larger dual-wall heatshrink tubing.
i made this with hand files,a vise, and some emery paper.
(i think i will be making some for the open market as soon as i get more supplies,so let me know if interested...)

Could do with one of those for my still un-opened Yales.

dont fret... i have a half dozen yales i cant open either..(damn staggered graduated spools)
all the spools in most yale locks have a different height, depending on the depth of the key cut.
ie; a 9 cut will have a long stainless spool, and a 1 or 2 cut will have a short ,stubby copper spool,
and the mid-range cuts have a middle-height brass spool.
VERY clever! 3 0r 4 different heights of spool drivers, and 3 different metals with different densities ....tricky,to say the least..

What files are you using?

You'll find that chainsaw files will remain sharp for quite a long time while you're working on those harder type metals. They'll cut spring steel too.
