Wow those are some serious angles on those hooks.

Nozza, your handles are lookin' fantastic!

I have to say I'm a bit curious too. Throughout this thread there are a few picks that have some very extreme angles.
You obviously know what you're doing and wouldn't be making them if they didn't work great for something though.

I can't see utilizing some of those on any of the locks I've seen/have around me... but I also realize different parts of
the world have some very different locks. Could you talk about these angles when you get the time? I'd love to hear it.

EDIT: Actually, Xeo may be referring to something different than I... but anyway, I'm still curious.

Re: Nozza36, homebrew

The main reason for some of the hooks having severe angles is that sometimes i find locks with close packed pin stacks , combine that with high low bitting and you really do wish you had a tight angled pick , brands like Mila's have small diameter pins which are annoyingly close together , they tend to be 5 pins so they have more extreme bitting than 6 pin locks (usually)

Re: Nozza36, homebrew

Sure, that makes. Thanks Nozza.

Also, I've seen a VERY deeply curved picked from Falle and thought, holy shit.
But there again, I know people have found good use in it. Alot of it's probably
just me... as I mentioned, I've not exposed myself to a huge variety yet.
