Any model shop should have piano wire in many diameters, particularly hobby shops that deal with model aeroplanes as piano wire is used for the ailerons etc.

Now this question is free for all. If i were to make a DIY by pass tool out of piano wire what would it look like? I think a rough guide to go off would be good so i dont go wasting piano wire and what not.

OK, Mur670. Here is how I opened my padlock which I had, like you, forgotten to reinstall the cam actuator before locking it....
